I am a visual romantic and a hopeless nostalgic. I make one-of-a-kind small decorative art. I aim to highlight the "visual feeling" of feminine bygone beauty and naiveté. The joy and blooming festive spirit represented in decorative objects and visual arts of the early and mid 1900s.
My artistic motivation is to attempt somehow to explore emotions and the often difficult paradoxes of my own feelings while representing them with beauty.
Visually, I look for inspiration mostly in vintage imagery, Art Nouveau or Art Deco illustrations and fashion, but I am also very fond of ancient paintings, modern design and haute couture fashion. I explore different techniques, like drawing, painting and collage, and I use them along to create my own. The subjects I explore are beauty, femininity, floral patterns, color, sensuality...all symbols of life and desire, I love the idea of paying tribute to an everlasting idealistic and extravagant springtime... This is my own Belle Epoque.
